Frequently Asked Questions

What it is and how it works

What is CultureWise, exactly? Is it software, a service, or a method?

It is all three, sold together as a culture operating system. You define the specific behaviors that make your culture (we call them Fundamentals), the platform reinforces one of them every week, and a guided rollout plus coaching content help your leaders make it stick. The method is the point; the software turns it into a daily habit instead of a poster on the wall.

What are Fundamentals?

Fundamentals are the specific, named behaviors that define how your team works, written in plain language everyone can act on. Instead of a value like integrity that lives on a wall, a Fundamental describes what to actually do, so it can be practiced, coached, and reinforced. Most companies run a set of around 25 to 30 and focus on one per week.

How long does it take to roll out and see results?

Most companies are up and running in about 45 to 60 days. Once the weekly rhythm starts, the behaviors begin showing up in how people work almost immediately, and the effect compounds from there. This is a practice you keep running, not a one-time event.

How much of my team's time does this take?

Roughly 6 hours of your leadership team's time over the 45-to-60-day rollout. We carry the rest, from designing the Fundamentals to preparing the launch. After go-live, the platform runs the weekly reinforcement automatically, so the ongoing lift on leaders is light.

Do you write our behaviors for us, or do we?

Your choice. You can choose your Fundamentals from a proven, ready-made menu, which is faster and simpler, or a CultureWise consultant can work with your leadership team to craft custom Fundamentals in your own language, following the Culture by Design framework.

Fit and comparisons

Will this actually stick, or fade like past initiatives?

This is the fear we hear most, and it is exactly what the system is built to solve. Most culture efforts fade because they end when the workshop ends. CultureWise runs a weekly ritual, gives leaders coaching prompts, and refreshes the content over time, so the behaviors keep getting practiced long after launch.

Does CultureWise work with EOS or Traction?

Yes. CultureWise complements EOS rather than competing with it. EOS organizes how you run the business; CultureWise operates at the behavior level, defining and reinforcing how your people actually work day to day. Many EOS companies run both, and the two reinforce each other.

Why not just build this ourselves, or with ChatGPT?

Writing a list of behaviors is the easy part, and AI can help you draft one. The hard part is everything after: the weekly ritual, the accountability, the measurement, and the second rollout that keeps it alive a year later. Companies that build it themselves usually stall on adoption or end up with a list nobody remembers. CultureWise is the system that makes the behaviors a habit.

How is this different from an engagement survey or a recognition tool?

An engagement survey measures how people feel, usually once or twice a year. A recognition tool rewards people after the fact. CultureWise is upstream of both: it defines the behaviors you want and builds them into daily practice, so the culture you are trying to measure or reward actually exists. It is a complement to those tools, not a replacement for them.

What size company is CultureWise for? Does it work for frontline or multilingual teams?

CultureWise works across small, mid-size, and enterprise organizations, and the per-user pricing scales with your size. Because the platform lives on phones and computers, it reaches frontline and non-desk teams, not just office staff, and content can be delivered in more than one language for multilingual workforces.

Pricing

How much does CultureWise cost?

Pricing is quote-based and billed annually, so your number depends on your headcount and which modules you choose. There are three parts: a required core (your Fundamentals plus the CultureWise platform, priced per user each month with volume discounts for larger teams), a one-time program activation fee, and optional add-on modules. For a firm, all-in number for your team, the fastest path is to request a quote.

Is there a setup or activation fee?

Yes. There is a one-time program activation fee that covers getting your Fundamentals designed and your team rolled out on the platform. It is separate from the monthly per-user subscription, quoted based on your organization's size, and is not an ongoing cost.

Do I have to pay for every employee, even the ones who won't use it?

The core is priced per user, and the per-user rate steps down as your team gets larger. If a large share of your headcount is seasonal, field-based, or unlikely to participate, tell us during your quote conversation so we can scope a plan that fits how your team actually works.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes. The activation fee can be broken into installments rather than paid up front, and subscription billing is handled annually. If your budget cycle or invoicing needs a specific structure, we can usually work with it.

Can I see CultureWise before I buy?

Yes. You can book a walkthrough where we show you the platform live and how the rollout works, plus examples of Fundamentals and the weekly rituals in action. Book a time and we will tailor it to your situation.
