Using the Redesigned Leaderboard

5 min watch • Updated September 22, 2026 •

The redesigned leaderboard shows where you stand, how you've moved since last week, and what's driving engagement across the company. This walkthrough covers how to view and filter the leaderboard, how to read competition results, and how an admin sets the current leaderboard period.

Steps

1. Open the leaderboard from the user panel

Navigate to the Leaderboard from the user panel. Confirm you're on the main leaderboard view before applying filters or reviewing standings.

2. Select the time period and leaderboard view

Choose the time period you want to review. Options may include Current period, All time, This week, and Last four weeks. If your company has set a current period, that appears as the default view. Switch between leaderboard views by Individuals, Location, or Department.

3. Review your scorecard and ranking details

Check the scorecard at the top of the leaderboard for your current standing. It shows your rank in the company, your movement since last week, your total points, how you compare to the current leader, your location and department, the points needed to pass the person ahead of you, and your badge level: Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum. If you haven't reached Platinum, the scorecard shows how many points you need to reach the next badge.

4. Analyze individual standings and engagement drivers

Review the individual standings list for profile pictures, weekly movement, and point totals. Use the right-hand panel to see the six Fundamentals earning the most points, so you can tell which interactions and activities are driving the most engagement.

5. Review competition results

Switch to the Competitions view to review competition data. The scorecard shows who won, the competition details, the participant breakdown, and points and interactions. Click into each team to see how many points team members scored, or view the competition by individual to identify top performers.

6. Check competition engagement metrics

Review the right-hand scorecards for competition engagement data. If the competition ran longer than one week, you can see which Fundamentals had the most engagement and which activities drove the most interaction. Use these insights to evaluate what worked best.

7. Set the current leaderboard period (admin)

Go to the admin panel, open Company Settings, and scroll to Leaderboard as of date. Set the date that defines the current leaderboard period. This establishes a new leaderboard cycle without deleting historical data.

8. Confirm the current period becomes the default view

After the current period is set, return to the user panel and open the leaderboard again. Confirm the default view now shows the current period instead of all time. This resets the leaderboard view while preserving all historical points and data.

9. Use the dashboard scorecard for quick access

Go to Home > Dashboard and review the leaderboard scorecard on the right-hand side. It shows your rank, your movement since last week, your current points, the top three people on the leaderboard, your position relative to the people above and below you, and the points needed to pass the person in front of you. Use the View Full Leaderboard link to open the complete leaderboard.

Cautionary notes

  • Setting the current period does not delete points or wipe historical records.
  • Make sure the correct date is selected in Leaderboard as of date before saving, since this determines the default leaderboard period for everyone.
  • If your company has not set a current period, users continue to see the all-time leaderboard by default.
  • Competition metrics vary with the length of the competition, so longer competitions show more detailed engagement trends.

Tips for efficiency

  • Use the dashboard scorecard for a fast snapshot of standings instead of opening the full leaderboard every time.
  • Switch between individual, location, and department views to find the most relevant ranking data.
  • Use the points-to-pass metric to set immediate performance goals.
  • Review the Fundamentals and activity breakdowns to see which behaviors drive the most engagement.
  • For recurring leaderboard cycles, set the current period at the start of each new cycle so users automatically see the right default view.
